It’s made from 63% malted barley with the rest made up of corn (maize) and rye, and it’s aged in charred American oak casks before bottling at a punchy 55.7% ABV. Nose: Big sweet nose with chocolate, toffee, tobacco, and a menthol note.

Palate: More chocolate on the palate with walnuts, cinnamon, liquorice, and mint.

Finish: Sweet with layers of milk chocolate and caramel.

Distillery Information

Paul and Merry Beth Tomaszewski founded the MB Roland Distillery Pembroke, Christian Co. Kentucky in 2009 after an Amish dairy came up for sale. Wanting to create a true grain-to-glass distillery, the duo only uses local white corn to make straight corn whiskey, moonshine, and good ol bourbon. Oh, the MB is Merry Beth, if you didnt guess already.
