Jean Fillioux Trs Vieux | 700ML Tasting Notes

Nose: The nose is rich and fruity. There are notes of candied peels, berry fruits, orchard fruits, banana, oak, spice, honey and a little Madeira.

Palate: The palate is big-bodied and rich with orchard fruits, marmalade, honey and spice.

Finish: The finish is long and rich with oak and spice.

Distillery Information

Jean Fillioux was founded in 1880 by Honor Fillioux. The men of the Fillioux family are reputed to be blessed with an exceptional nose, thus they are decidedly qualified to craft Cognac. The vineyards are at the centre of the Grande Champagne designation, where the top soils are of chalk and clay covering Cretaceous-period soft chalk and it is said these vineyards produce the most poised Cognacs. The operations are overseen by Pascal J Fillioux, the cellar master.
