Jean Fillioux Cigar Club | 700ML Tasting Notes

Nose: The nose is honeyed and sweet with notes of unlit cigars, marzipan and vanilla spice, a little prune and stewed fruit note.

Palate: The palate is full and rich with notes of winter spice, cocoa, prunes, sultanas and stewed fruits.

Finish: The finish is long and sweet with spices.

Distillery Information

Jean Fillioux was founded in 1880 by Honor Fillioux. The men of the Fillioux family are reputed to be blessed with an exceptional nose, thus they are decidedly qualified to craft Cognac. The vineyards are at the centre of the Grande Champagne designation, where the top soils are of chalk and clay covering Cretaceous-period soft chalk and it is said these vineyards produce the most poised Cognacs. The operations are overseen by Pascal J Fillioux, the cellar master.
