A real treat, bottled up by us right here at Master of Malt! This blended Scotch combines whiskies aged for a hefty 32 years between 1990 and 2022, and married in a single barrel, before being bottled. A release of 337 bottles, and it’s a stunner… If we do say so ourselves.

Nose: An almost rum-like quality leads with heavy depths of sweet, estery oak and mellow malt. Pancakes with toasty maple syrup open the way for creamy apricot, and rice pudding with a crispy burnt top. Buttered malt loaf and Custard Creams appear there’s so much to explore!

Palate: Gloriously generous layers of delicate peach and apricot, tangy apple sauce, and buttery custard tarts. It’s so soft, with mellow spice kept firmly in check beneath vanilla tablet and creamy barley.

Finish: A tropical touch of guava creeps in, alongside crumbly fudge, yet more vanilla, burnt sugar, and toasted malt. Things remain silky smooth as the gloriously sweet, mouthcoating malt and mellow oak char fade slowly into the distance.

Distillery Information

Master of Malt was founded in 1985 as a retailer and bottler of whisky and other fine spirits. Today, we bottle new whiskies all the time, and our policy is simple: we only ever put our name on anything that makes us go Wow! Thats all there is to it! Being extremely picky, we regularly try dozens of cask samples before we find one were willing to bottle (trying glass after glass of fine Scotch whisky is harder than it sounds!). We also dearly love to bottle unusual whiskies too. When it comes to bottling, we like to leave things unadulterated. We never add caramel colouring to our whiskies, and we prefer to leave them at natural cask strength. In the rare occasion when we lower the bottling strength we never, ever use chill-filtration, as we believe this affects the flavour of good spirit, and we cant have that! We also offer 3cl whisky samples of as many of our own bottlings as possible, to give you the opportunity to try before you buy.
