Producer Information

At Les Mourat, we have been vibrating for the Vende since 1880… In 1976, Jean Mourat, a young oenologist, bought the farm of Les Ardilliers and a few hectares to make his own wine. Today, Jrmie Mourat has taken over by striving to perpetuate the tradition while bringing a breath of fresh air. Thus, over the past 10 years, the estate has been gradually converted to organic farming, until the teams become true followers. Planted mainly with chenin for the whites and ngrette, pinot noir and cabernet franc for the reds, the Mourat vineyards offer a wide range of wines in all three colours. From the most contemporary, to the most fruity aromas, to the most typical of good ageing, Mourat wines have one thing in common: to respect nature by revealing the flavours of the place where they grow.
