Ratings: JS | 92

Vintage: 2019

Size: 750ml

ABV: 14%

Varietal: Bonarda

Lush and spicy ripe-fruit driven nose, with a broad, fairly explosive palate of red cherry, plum, chocolate, and mint. Bright, refreshing acidity holds everything together and makes this an excellent choice with spicy foods.

      Reviews:

      • Wine Advocate: Unlike the Corton 13, the 2013 Corton-Bressandes Grand Cru was unaffected by hail. It has a ripe and fresh prune-tinged bouquet that is a little too showy for my liking. The palate is medium-bodied with quite dense, structured tannins. There is a spicy edge to the fruit, although contrary to expectations, I find slightly more harmony and finesse to the straight Corton this year. Actually, a feuillette showed more expressively and with more grace, so perhaps that is the shape of things to come?
      • James Suckling: Perfumed aromas of violets, blackberries, blackcurrants and wild herbs. Its medium- o full-bodied with firm, fine-grained tannins and fresh acidity. Concentrated and chewy with a savory, saline finish.

      Producer Information

Hector and Pablo were born in Mendoza, the cradle of wine and were raised together. Their childhood and their home were always connected to a sensorial world, with aromas, ingredients, and flavors that, over time, motivated them to choose the path to become enologists. As adults, they would find these familiar memories and similar passions. Since 2002 they have been dedicated to their project as a small family winery. Today the brothers have evolved to form the new generation of winemakers, leading an evolutionary change in Argentinas viticulture. With that same spirit, the Durigutti brothers craft their wines and have started to write their own history, a family legacy, in a chosen place where they live and work daily with dedication.
